Fitting & Sewing Each pattern contains all the sizes listed on the front of the envelope. However, each design will have a slightly different range of sizes. I include as many sizes as I can for that particular design. There are technical or pattern making constraints which sometimes limit the range. For example, #215 only goes up to 2X because if the pattern were graded beyond this, in larger sizes, the pleats would not hang properly. I would need to redraft the pattern for the larger sizes only. If you have a question regarding fabric selection, or fit, or the construction details, just send me an email, using the “contact” form. If you want to make a pattern in a size not listed for you, I may be able to walk you through it. Some of the designs are easier to alter than others. I was terrified to try to alter that pattern and I am so grateful for your generosity. You were spot on and the only little problem I had was in the front dart placement and that was easily fixed. Below is a recent letter from a customer. She is referring to the wedding dress #205. She wanted to make it for a family friend whose measurements were 6″ larger than the largest size. We discussed it, she took notes, and she made the dress, which was a great success. I am delighted when you create a garment you are proud of.
